Built for these moments

The moments when you wish you knew more about what's in the bottle

After a hospital discharge

You leave with a list of seven new pills. Pillplexity reads each label and tells you what they do and how they interact.

Caring for a parent

Sort through their medicine cabinet without spending an hour on Google for every bottle.

A new prescription

Before you take the first dose, know what to expect — side effects, food warnings, and which of your other meds matter.

Switching pharmacies

Confirm every refill is what you expect. Different pharmacies, same medication — Pillplexity makes sure.

Travel and travel kits

Snap your meds before a trip and keep a private offline list. No cloud, no account.

Helping someone you love

Send-free, share-free, account-free. The app stays on your phone, the way it should.

How it works

From label to answers in seconds

01

Scan the label

Point your camera. Apple Vision reads the label on-device — your photo and full label text never leave your phone.

02

Confirm the basics

Review and edit what was detected. Patient info — name, DOB, Rx#, prescriber, pharmacy — is stripped before anything is sent.

03

Get plain-English answers

What the drug does, how to take it, common side effects, and warnings against your other meds. Sourced from openFDA and RxNorm.

Why Pillplexity

The medication app that doesn't want your data

Privacy is the product

Patient info is discarded at parse time. No accounts. No cloud sync. No tracking pixels. Your medication list lives on your device, period.

Real answers, fast

Plain-English drug info written in a calm, pharmacist-style voice. What it does, how to take it, what to watch for — without the WebMD doom spiral.

Sourced from the FDA

Every fact comes from openFDA and RxNorm — the same authoritative sources your pharmacist uses. We translate, we don't invent.

The privacy promise

Most health apps collect first.
We don't collect at all.

The only thing that ever leaves your phone is the drug name and strength — the same thing printed on the box at the pharmacy. Everything else stays local. We built it this way because we think it's the only way a medication app should work.

No accounts

No sign-up, no email collection, no password to forget.

No cloud storage

Your saved medications stay on your device. Always.

PHI stripped on-device

Name, DOB, Rx#, prescriber, pharmacy — discarded at parse time.

No pill identification

We read prescription labels only. Not pills from photos.

No third-party tracking

No analytics SDKs collecting your behavior or selling it onward.

Open about our limits

Pillplexity is information, not medical advice. Your pharmacist still matters.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Pillplexity a replacement for my pharmacist or doctor?+

No. It's a tool to help you understand what you've been prescribed in plain English. Always talk to your pharmacist or doctor about clinical decisions, dose changes, or symptoms.

What information actually leaves my phone?+

Only the drug name and strength — what's on the front of the box at the pharmacy. Patient name, DOB, Rx#, prescriber, and pharmacy are stripped before any network request, every time.

Where do you get the drug information from?+

Underlying data comes from openFDA and RxNorm, the same authoritative public sources used by pharmacy systems. Pillplexity rewrites it in plain English; we don't invent facts.

Can it identify a pill from a photo of just the pill?+

No. Pillplexity reads prescription labels only. Pill identification from photos is a different problem and one we don't try to solve.

How do interaction warnings work?+

When you save a medication to your private list and scan a new one, Pillplexity checks the new med's interactions against what you've saved. Everything is computed and stored on your device.

Do I need to create an account?+

No. There's no sign-up, no email collection, no password. Open the app and scan.

Is it free?+

Pricing details will be announced at launch. The privacy guarantees apply on every plan.

Android version?+

iOS first. We'll evaluate Android once iOS is stable.
